PUSTAK UPHAAR SAMAROH

Protecting the environment is everyone’s responsibility. Solutions to big problems can be found through small initiatives. To address such issues, book donation festivals are currently being organized in all the Kendriya Vidyalayas across the country. Teachers are appealing to students to deposit the books of the classes they have passed into the library so that other students can use them. Especially for parents who cannot afford to buy books for their children, these books could be useful. Through this initiative, we not only promote literacy through book donations, encourage knowledge sharing, but also can save paper and  prevent deforestation. We can raise awareness about environmental conservation by reducing paper production, advocate for tree preservation, engage participants in intellectual and environmental activities.

This program was observed in Kendriya Vidyalaya NERIST from 1st April to 5th April 2024. Participation from both students and parents was notable, with contributions and book exchanges facilitated through the school library.

Drop-off points were set up in the school library making it easy for everyone to contribute.

Arrangements were made for students and parents to receive books from the school library, thereby fostering a culture of sharing and access to reading materials.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from both students and parents, reflecting a collective commitment to promoting literacy and sharing knowledge within the school community
